Celebrate the past 15 years and support a successful future!
“To be a part of helping people release the shame that binds them, to see people transform in the most positive way after sharing their truth is what gives my life meaning. Countless times I have witnessed how the act of being seen and heard can create true connection and lasting change.”
– Julie Novak, TMI Project co-founder
Fifteen years ago, TMI Project began its journey with co-founders Eva Tenuto and Julie Novak sitting with a few friends in a living room, sharing stories that eventually made their way to the stage of the Rosendale Theater on February 19, 2010. Since then, thanks to your generous support and faith in us, TMI Project has reached nearly 300,000 audience members, produced more than 250 shows, and worked with over 3,000 storytellers. We’ve produced an award-winning podcast and have listeners in 167 countries. In 2024, two of our films have traveled the country to national acclaim. Thank you for helping us get here. We couldn’t have done it without you.
As many of you know, our co-founder, Julie Novak, passed away from breast cancer on August 31, 2024. Eva lost her partner in love and life, and the entire TMI Project community lost a legendary beacon of light. Though we would give anything to watch these films with Julie on the big screen, or see her face light up when our name was called for an award, we know that more than receiving accolades, Julie cared most about changing lives and deeply impacting youth.
Being there for young people was Julie’s driving force. She spent her life becoming the superhero she longed for in her youth. As she often said, “Storytelling can help someone turn their kryptonite into their superpower!” She helped hundreds of young people do just that.
In 2025, we are excited to expand three programs dear to Julie’s heart, all of which will serve young people, both locally and nationwide:
1972-2024
